Overview Part-time certified dental assistant needed. Are you an experienced dental assistant with 5+ yearsâ experience who genuinely loves working with children and making a difference in their lives? If so, you may be a great fit for our office. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. Candidate must have Ohio radiology license, BLS certification and Hep B vaccine. Prior experience with sedation, EMR systems and a strong understanding of dental terminology are highly valued. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are followed. Take and develop X-rays, ensuring proper safety measures and accurate medical imaging documentation. Manage medical records using Dentrix. Ensure accurate medical documentation and coding compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assisting. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health practices using appropriate dental terminology. Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and ensuring the cleanliness of the clinical environment. Support administrative tasks as needed, including dental receptionist duties like scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. patient comfort throughout procedures Requirements Passion for pediatric dental care. Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or 5+ years of experience. Proven experience in dental assisting within a general or specialty practice; pediatric dentistry experience is a plus Proficiency with Dentrix, preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately Highly organized with a strong sense of teamwork Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance with patient privacy laws Pay: From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 18.0 â 27.0 per week Work Location: In person
