Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct initial patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe treatment plans Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs Capture and review dental radiographs (medical imaging) while maintaining strict aseptic techniques and infection control standards Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems (Eaglesoft), ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after treatments to ensure safety throughout procedures Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification in dental hygiene practices Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical terminology Proficiency in EMR systems like Eaglesoft for documentation review and record keeping Ability to perform chairside with precision while maintaining excellent patient care standards Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with team members Join us in making a difference by providing top-tier dental care in a vibrant, supportive setting!
