Job Summary Mondays and Fill-in We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient assessment, and effective communication skills. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to promote oral health and educate patients on proper dental care. Duties - Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations. - Perform dental prophylaxis, probing, radiographs, scaling, and root planing procedures. - Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments. - Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. - Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in accordance with practice protocols. - Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. - Utilize Dentrix dental software systems for patient management and record keeping. - Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Qualifications - Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. - Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry practices. - Experience with dental coding is preferred but not required. - Proficiency in using dental software applications such as Dentrix is a plus - Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients regarding their oral health. - Attention to detail in documentation review and treatment planning. - Previous experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist We invite qualified candidates who are passionate about promoting oral health to apply for this rewarding position.
