Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in an Endodontic practice, where your skills will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. As an integral part of our clinic, you will support our Endodontists during procedures, manage patient comfort, and ensure smooth clinic operations. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards. Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, ensuring accuracy and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Open Dental for documenting patient histories, treatment plans, and medical documentation. Perform chairside assisting tasks such as taking vital signs, explaining procedures to patients, and providing comfort throughout treatments. Occasionally support administrative functions by acting as a dental receptionist—scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently. Ensure compliance with all infection control protocols and maintain thorough medical records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent licensure. Proven experience in dental assisting within Endodontic practice or a general dentistry setting; familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy knowledge is essential. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Open Dental. Proficiency with chart notations and reports Skilled in X-ray techniques and medical imaging procedures; knowledge of 3D scanners is advantageous. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient rapport in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and records management. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
