Job Overview We currently have an opening for a full-time orthodontic chairside assistant, who will also serve as a backup Treatment Coordinator. This would be a good fit for someone who would enjoy being in the clinic as an assistant on a day-to-day basis, with occasional time spent functioning as a TC. Training will be provided. Requires travel to two locations in El Paso. Working hours are Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 5:00pm. Previous experience working in the orthodontic environment is desired. Pay depends on skill and experience. At the chairside, you will deliver an awesome experience to our patients who are already in treatment by assisting with procedures such as braces adjustments, bondings, debondings, digital scanning, alginate impressions, appliance delivery, and taking records. In time spent as a TC, it will be your job to welcome families, explore their goals, communicate treatment solutions, assist with financial arrangements, and coordinate care. You will assure that all of the administrative pieces necessary for patients to begin their orthodontic treatment are completed in a timely manner, and occasionally assisting other team members as needed to ensure smooth new patient experience. You will be joining a very experienced and talented team. We can provide whatever training you need in any of these areas to help you feel comfortable. Work Environment This job operates in an upbeat clinical office environment. A high amount of interpersonal interaction with patients, their family members, and other team members is required, all day every day. This role routinely uses standard dental equipment such as x-rays, clinical hand tools, mirrors, etc. This role routinely uses office equipment such as computers, printers, and cameras. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. The team member is required to routinely use their hands with detailed dexterity when performing job duties. This is a moderately active role; the team member will be required to sit, stand, walk, and bend over routinely to perform all duties. Education & Experience Current/active Texas RDA certificate is required. Minimum 1 year work experience in the orthodontic environment CPR certification - basic life support. High school graduate or equivalent.
