Overview: We are seeking highly motivated and skilled Dental Assistants to join our pediatric dental and orthodontic clinic. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting our dental professionals in delivering quality dental services. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including orthodontic treatments - Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available - Take and develop dental x-rays - Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions - Maintain infection control protocols and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations - Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or CAD for documentation purposes - Assist with medical imaging and coding as required Skills: - Proficient in infection control procedures and sterilization techniques - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices - Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or CAD - Experience with medical imaging, including X-rays - Understanding of medical terminology and coding systems Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred - Valid certification in dental assisting (e.g., CDA) is a plus -Orthodontic experience preferred, not required - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Join our team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing exceptional dental care to children.
