Orthodontist - North East Dental Lab - Wilmington, MA

New England Dental Group is seeking a part time Orthodontist for our Wilmington and Chelmsford locations. The Orthodontist's job is to diagnose, prevent, and treat dental and facial irregularities, focusing on correcting misaligned teeth and jaws (malocclusion) to improve oral health, function, and appearance using appliances like braces, retainers, and aligners, requiring detailed examination, treatment planning, appliance fitting, and patient communication. The Orthodontist will work with patients of all ages, creating personalized plans to fix bite problems, straighten teeth, guide jaw growth, and manage other issues like sleep apnea. Core Responsibilities Diagnosis: Examining patients using X-rays, models, and medical histories to identify alignment problems and oral anomalies. Treatment Planning: Developing customized plans using orthodontic tools to correct issues like overbites, underbites, crowding, and spacing. Appliance Management: Fitting, adjusting, and tightening braces, aligners, retainers, and other devices. Patient Communication: Explaining diagnoses, treatment processes, and oral hygiene needs to patients and families. Collaboration: Working with general dentists, hygienists, and other specialists for comprehensive care.
