Dental Assistant: Key Responsibilities The Dental Hygiene Assistant role promotes quality dental care for patients in a comfortable environment by assisting the Dental Hygienist, educating patients, maintaining equipment and inventory, and following all OSHA and MIOSHA requirements to ensure a safe environment for patients and team members. Prepare patients and assist the hygienist during treatment. Take x-rays bitewings and full-mouths. Perform instrument sterilization and infection control. Clean and stock operatory while maintaining inventory of clinical supplies. Make clinical notes regarding patient treatment, update health histories, and collect consent forms when applicable. (Required) Knowledge of Microsoft 360 (Required) 2 years Dental experience preferred. CPR and first aid preferred. X-ray certified preferred.
