Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning and polishing teeth to remove plaque, calculus, and stains. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental radiographs (medical imaging), applying sealants, and providing fluoride treatments. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies tailored to their needs. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Follow strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination. Support the dental team with general dentistry procedures and ensure a smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry practices. Review documentation for accuracy, assist with medical coding when necessary, and ensure all patient information is up-to-date. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or office environment. Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and infection control standards is essential. Experience utilizing EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles is a plus, especially when working with pediatric patients. Demonstrated ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement and patient assessment confidently. Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to oral health and dental assisting procedures. Prior experience in medical records management, documentation review, and medical coding enhances your candidacy.
