Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Lincoln, NE

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. Prior experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is preferred. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols. Will provide certification class if needed. Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, updating medical records, and scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist when needed. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance procedure efficiency. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions. Maintain infection control standards through proper sterilization procedures and adherence to OSHA guidelines. Operate advanced dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners and medical imaging devices for comprehensive diagnostics. Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to medical coding, documentation, and record keeping in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in the management of dental supplies inventory and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Skills Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and various specialties including pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry. Experience with X-ray techniques, and other medical imaging tools used in modern dental practices. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using four-handed dentistry methods. Will train motivated candidate Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration. Ability to handle medical documentation accurately including coding for insurance opurposes.
