Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly and welcoming environment. Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Open Dental. Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes. Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately. Collect patient information, update medical records, and review documentation for accuracy and completeness. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and handling documentation review diligently. Facilitate smooth patient intake processes, including medical history updates and appointment confirmations. Help assist with baby exams and filling in for the back-office if someone is out sick. Requirements Prior experience in a dental office setting is highly preferred; having a DA or RDA preferably to be able to help in back if needed. Strong computer skills. Knowledge of dental terminology. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple phone lines using multi-line phone systems effectively. Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation. Ability to maintain professionalism while managing high-volume patient interactions in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of dental terminology and office management practices enhances your fit for this role.
