Dental Assistant (Part Time) - Choice Medical Group - Hesperia, CA

We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team at Nayyar Dental in the High Desert region. In this vital role, you will contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care by ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and the treatment area Seat patients, review basic medical/dental history, and help ensure patient comfort throughout visits Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards Take and develop dental X-rays as permitted by certification and state regulations Prepare exam rooms before and after patient visits, including disinfecting surfaces and restocking supplies Provide chairside assistance, including suctioning, passing instruments, and mixing dental materials Educate patients on basic oral hygiene instructions and post-treatment care as directed by the dentist Accurately document patient information and treatment notes in the dental chart or electronic dental record Support front office or clinical team as needed, including scheduling or confirming appointments when assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of a Dental Assistant training program or willingness to enroll and train on the job (as applicable) Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe X-ray certification (RDA or equivalent) preferred or willingness to obtain per state requirements Basic knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and infection control standards preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment Professional demeanor, reliability, and willingness to learn Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
