Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Elkview, WV
We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice in Elkview, West Virginia. The ideal candidate will provide top-quality patient care, support clinical procedures, and assist the dental team in maintaining a welcoming, clean, and efficient environment. As an integral member of our team, you will ensure that each patientâs experience is comfortable, organized, and consistent with the highest standards of dental care. Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures (fillings, crowns, extractions, root canals, etc.) Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure compliance with infection control protocols Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients Maintain patient records and input treatment information accurately Manage dental supply inventory and restock clinical areas as needed Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: At least 1 year of prior dental assisting experience preferred (but not required for entry-level applicants) Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong attention to detail and time management Proficiency in dental software Eaglesoft, is a plus Compassionate, team-oriented attitude Physical Requirements Ability to stand or sit for extended periods Manual dexterity in handling dental instruments and equipment Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds occasionally Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly wage, based on experience Paid time off and holidays Continuing education and professional development support Uniform allowance Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Employee discount Flexible schedule Paid time off Schedule: 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
