Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring a sterile environment through proper aseptic technique. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including general dentistry. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix Ascend ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and updating medical documentation. Maintain infection control standards and ensure all equipment adheres to sterilization protocols. Using Dentrix Asscend technology to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records efficiently. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for patient safety. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training. Ability to work well in a team environment in dentistry for optimal efficiency.
