Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and efficient clinical environment. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control protocols, with a focus on general dentistry. The Registered Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to ensure optimal oral health outcomes for patients of all ages. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and medical histories in accordance with HIPAA regulations Assist with medical imaging procedures such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Document treatment procedures accurately within Dentrix Review medical and dental records to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with healthcare standards Support pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a gentle and caring approach for young patients Practice infection control using aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment Maintain clinical supplies, sterilize instruments, and ensure the cleanliness of the treatment area Adhere to all dental terminology standards, medical coding requirements, and documentation review protocols Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix (is a plus) Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security Excellent communication skills for patient education and team collaboration Attention to detail in documentation review and medical coding processes Prior experience in dental office or clinic settings is preferred but not required This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment dedicated to providing outstanding oral healthcare.
