Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-time Dental Hygienist to join our reputable pediatric dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and excellent patient care abilities. This role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional dental hygiene services in a supportive environment, focusing on pediatric dentistry patients. The position is a fully assisted hygiene role. We are looking for someone to work Wednesdays and Thursdays. Would also be beneficial to have the flexibility to cover some Mondays and Tuesdays on school holidays and to cover when one provider is out, but not necessary. Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and polishing procedures to maintain optimal oral health. Educate patients/parents on oral hygiene practices and preventive care tailored to pediatric patients. Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry and infection control protocols. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, aseptic technique, and HIPAA compliance. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to pediatric patients. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
