Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring all equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners are ready for use. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient comfort while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Coordinate patient scheduling, verify insurance benefits, explain treatment options clearly, and assist with financial arrangements to enhance patient satisfaction. Support front desk duties including greeting patients as a dental receptionist, Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by following infection control standards and ensuring all clinical areas meet safety regulations. Support team members by floating across different roles as needed, providing vital assistance based on daily clinic needs. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred; familiarity with dental terminology and medical terminology is essential. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is required; experience with 3D scanners or advanced imaging technology is a plus. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge related to dentistry, and proper use of X-ray equipment are critical for success in this role. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in medical records and documentation.
