Join our Long Beach team as a Floating Dental Assistant/Billing - Heartwell Dental - Long Beach, CA

Position Overview: This role combines insurance billing expertise along with dental assisting. The ideal candidate is not only skilled in navigating insurance claims and accounts receivable but also very proficient at assisting. Accurately submit and process dental insurance claims. Follow up on unpaid claims and appeal denials to ensure timely resolution. Monitor and manage accounts receivable (AR), keeping balances current. Post insurance and patient payments with accuracy. Communicate with patients regarding billing inquiries and account balances. Maintain compliance with insurance regulations and documentation standards. Work closely with the dentist and team to streamline billing systems and processes. Bring forward business ideas, strategies, and improvements to help the practice grow. Support the front office with scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and administrative tasks when needed. Qualifications: Minimum 5+ years of dental billing and insurance experience (required). Strong knowledge of dental insurance, claim submission, denials, and appeals. Experience managing accounts receivable and producing AR reports. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Tech-savvy with practice management software (knowledge of Mango and Flex is a plus). Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
