Experience with electronic health records systems such as Eaglesoft is a plus. While experience and/or certification can also be a plus, it is not essential, as we offer on the job training. Responsibilities Assist the dental hygienist and dentist during patient examinations and procedures using chairside assisting techniques. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Take vital signs and medical history updates to ensure patient safety before procedures. Capture and process dental radiographs (X-ray) for diagnostic purposes. Manage electronic medical records using Eaglesoft to ensure accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols. Support administrative duties including scheduling appointments, updating patient information in EMR systems, and assisting with coding when necessary. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive dentistry services when required. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is valuable, especially with dental assisting or chairside assisting roles. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or similar platforms is highly desirable. Certification or training in X-ray procedures and medical documentation is advantageous. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and patient privacy is required.
