We are looking for a motivated and organized Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic team and help us continue to provide the highest level of care. Position Overview: As an Orthodontic Assistant at Corsa Orthodontics, you will be an integral part of our patient care team. You will assist the orthodontists during patient procedures, prepare and sterilize equipment, manage patient records, and provide direct support to ensure smooth, efficient office operations. Your primary goal will be to make each patient feel comfortable, confident, and well cared for during their visit. Key Responsibilities: Assist the orthodontist in placing, adjusting, and removing orthodontic appliances such as braces, retainers, expanders, and clear aligners. Perform clinical tasks such as bonding, debonding, and fitting orthodontic brackets, bands, and wires. Take high-quality diagnostic x-rays, including cephalometric and panoramic images Conduct routine orthodontic exams to ensure treatment plans are being followed, and assist in clinical diagnosis when necessary. Prepare and seat patients for treatment, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about the procedures. Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and appliance maintenance to ensure the success of orthodontic treatment. Communicate effectively with patients to explain treatment plans, appointment instructions, and answer any questions they may have. Sterilize, disinfect, and prepare all instruments and equipment for use. Manage patient records and update them with accurate treatment notes and progress updates. Utilize digital scanning equipment to capture impressions for clear aligner trays and orthodontic models. Assist with 3D imaging, intraoral scans, and other advanced orthodontic technologies used in patient treatment. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent and certification from an accredited dental assistant program. Experience: Previous 1+ years of experience in an orthodontic office (2+ preferred, but not required) Certification: Current CPR certification and Radiology certification (preferred but not required). Skills: Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment A commitment to providing high-quality care in a compassionate and professional manner Positive, friendly attitude with a commitment to patient care. Salary: $25-$35 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, Opportunities for salary increases over time based on performance and contribution to the team.
