Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA)Treatment Coordinator | Billing & Insurance Specialist Full-Time | Private Dental Practice About the Role We are seeking a skilled Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) who also excels in treatment coordination and dental billing/insurance . This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, patient-focused professional who enjoys both chairside clinical care and helping patients understand, schedule, and afford their dental treatment. You will play a critical role in patient experience, case acceptance, and the financial health of the practice. Clinical Responsibilities (EDDA) Chairside assisting during general, restorative, cosmetic, and implant procedures Perform expanded duties such as placing fillings, etc. Take digital X-rays and intraoral scans, Cerec crown design and fabrication Prepare treatment rooms and maintain sterilization protocols Maintain accurate clinical documentation Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control compliance Treatment Coordination Responsibilities Present treatment plans clearly and confidently to patients Review fees, insurance benefits, and financial options Increase case acceptance through patient education and trust-building Schedule treatment efficiently and follow up on unscheduled cases Communicate closely with the clinical team to align treatment recommendations Billing & Insurance Responsibilities Verify insurance benefits and eligibility Submit and track insurance claims accurately and timely Post payments and reconcile EOBs Follow up on outstanding claims and appeals Answer patient billing questions with professionalism and empathy Qualifications Expanded Duties Dental Assistant certification (required) Minimum 2+ years of dental assisting experience Experience with treatment coordination and dental billing/insurance (required) Strong knowledge of dental software (Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft, or similar) Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills Professional, positive, and patient-centered attitude What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off Supportive, team-focused work environment Opportunities for professional growth and expanded responsibility Modern practice with advanced technology How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter highlighting your clinical and administrative experience.
