Duties Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all dental equipment is ready for procedures while maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Assist dentists chairside during various treatments including restorations, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures. Take digital X-rays, including 3D scans and medical imaging, ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Manage patient records using Dentrix, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout appointments to support overall health and safety. Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, infection control practices, and oral hygiene instructions to promote ongoing health. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with a strong understanding of general dentistry procedures is helpful but not required . Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, medical terminology, and infection control protocols. Familiarity with Dentrix is a plus. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and working with children is highly desirable. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining aseptic technique; certification in radiography preferred. Understanding of anatomy knowledge related to oral structures and the use of medical imaging tools like 3D scanners. Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members including dental receptionists and hygienists.
