Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Tarzana, CA
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform comprehensive dental cleanings, and support the overall efficiency of our dental team. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, patient assessment, and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all patients. Experience with EMR systems and a solid knowledge of dental terminology are essential for success in this position. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining proper aseptic technique. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review medical records and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy. Support infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to uphold safety standards. Collaborate with dentists on treatment planning and patient care strategies. Ensure compliance with all dental office policies, including medical coding and documentation review. Experience Valid RDH license with current state licensure required. Prior experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry preferred. Experience with pediatric dentistry, medical imaging, and vital signs assessment is a plus. Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control standards, and HIPAA regulations is essential. Demonstrated ability to perform chairside assisting, maintain aseptic techniques, and apply anatomy knowledge during procedures is preferred.
