Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Miami, FL

This is a part time position for three days a week. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly in accordance with aseptic technique and infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and providing chairside support. Take high-quality dental X-rays and operate medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and assess patient readiness for procedures by recording vital signs accurately. Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient communication effectively. Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment by adhering to infection control standards and proper disposal of contaminated materials. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Open Dental Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and healthcare providers.
