Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring infection control, and maintaining accurate medical and dental records. Experience with electronic medical records systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is preferred. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality dental care across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. The Dental Assistant will play a vital part in creating a comfortable experience for patients while adhering to all HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontic treatments, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic techniques are followed Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans when applicable Record vital signs and medical history accurately in electronic health records systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Maintain patient comfort through chairside assisting and providing clear instructions Manage medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Support infection control procedures by sterilizing instruments and maintaining a clean clinical environment Assist with administrative duties as needed, including dental reception tasks and scheduling appointments Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, and post-treatment care Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting; familiarity with dental clinic operations is preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; experience with medical coding is a plus Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; certification in radiography preferred Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry principles if working with children or pediatrics experience Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages Ability to work efficiently in a team environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and general healthcare practices Certification in CPR or basic life support (BLS) is desirable Join our team to provide compassionate dental care while advancing your professional skills in a supportive environment.
