Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Toledo, OH
Overview Our practice is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Dental Assistant with a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience. We are looking for a professional who is proficient in four handed dentistry and thrives in a high- standard, patient â focused environment. This is a part time position, two and a half days a week. . Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies in accordance with aseptic techniques. Assist dentists chairside during procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments. Provide patient education on procedures, post-operative care, and oral health maintenance. Support infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment. Assist with medical imaging documentation and coding for insurance purposes when necessary. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic operations including four-handed dentistry techniques. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is required. Familiarity with dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and managing medical documentation. Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy relevant to general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatrics is highly desirable. Certification in radiography or x-ray licensing is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a safe clinical environment.
