Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to develop personalized treatment plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies to maintain healthy smiles. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient comfort. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office standards. Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination within the clinical setting. Qualifications Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments. Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures. Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and medical coding is advantageous. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations. Ability to perform chairside assisting duties when needed, demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail.
