Job Overview Smile Dental Care is a growing, patient-centered dental practice looking for a detail-oriented, personable Dental Assistant who is excited to grow with a new and expanding office. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality dental care by supporting our doctors during procedures, maintaining a clean and efficient clinical environment, and helping create a positive experience for every patient. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental trays, and ensuring all materials are ready Assist dentists during procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take dental X-rays following proper technique and radiation safety protocols Pour dental models and fabricate temporary crowns Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques Monitor patient comfort and vital signs during treatment Maintain strict infection control and sterilization standards in compliance with OSHA guidelines Accurately update and manage patient records using EMR systems (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, etc.) in compliance with HIPAA Assist with 3D scanning and other diagnostic imaging as needed Support front office duties when necessary, including greeting patients and scheduling appointments Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental practice Proficiency in taking X-rays and operating dental imaging equipment Experience pouring models and creating temporary crowns Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment Experience with pediatric patients is a plus CPR/BLS certification preferred but not required Why Join Smile Dental Care?
