At our MacDill Avenue location, we have one periodontist, three dental assistants, and two front office team members who work alongside our one dental hygienist. We are seeking a dental hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate is a dependable team player who enjoys connecting with patients while providing gentle yet highly skilled professional care. Qualifications The team member we are seeking is self-motivated, passionate about hygiene and educating patients on good oral health, sincerely enjoys building rapport with patients, and is a caring, friendly, proactive team player. Our ideal hygienist is an effective listener/communicator, manages time efficiently, is professional, thrives in a busy office environment and is very comfortable performing scaling and root planing procedures as well as applying local anesthetics. Proficiency with computers as important as we utilize Curve for practice management and a CBCT Scanner. Job Duties Periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, oral hygiene training, taking radiographs, administering local anesthesia, blood pressure screening, oral cancer screening, treatment room cleanup, instrument sterilization, ordering, scheduling hygiene appointments, and/or evaluation of periodontal and restorative treatment needs. Patients are seen for one hour appointments Monday through Thursday from 8 AM until 5 PM. Infrequent but occasional Fridays are sometimes necessary. This is a full-time position and benefits are provided after one year of service including vacation time, bonuses, a contribution towards health insurance, and a retirement plan. Pay is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. All candidates must be licensed with the state of Florida and CPR certified.
