Oral Surgery Assistant â Dental Implant & Sedation Specialist Anchor Dental Implant Center | Austin, TX About the Practice Anchor Dental Implant Center is a leading-edge surgical facility specializing in high-complexity dental implantology and full-arch restorative care. We are looking for a dedicated clinical partner who thrives in a specialized surgical setting. The Role In this position, you will be an integral part of a high-functioning surgical team. Unlike general dentistry, our cases are comprehensive and immersive. We focus on "quality over quantity," often dedicating several hours to a single patient to ensure surgical precision and safety. Key Responsibilities: Surgical Flow: Assist in advanced dental implant surgeries and bone grafting procedures with a focus on sterile technique and clinical efficiency. Sedation Support: Monitor and care for sedated patients throughout the surgical process, ensuring their safety, comfort, and smooth recovery. Patient Advocacy: Provide high-level pre- and post-operative care, serving as a reassuring presence for patients and their families. Case Ownership: Maintain focus and professionalism during long-form surgical cases, ensuring the suite remains organized and the doctor has proactive support. What We Are Looking For Surgical Experience: Previous experience in oral surgery or specialized dental implant assisting is essential. Sedation Comfort: Experience or a strong comfort level in assisting with IV or oral conscious sedation cases. The "Finisher" Mindset: We value flexibility. Because surgeries are complex and unpredictable, we need an assistant who is committed to staying until the patient is safely recovered and the case is fully completed. Endurance & Focus: The ability to remain engaged and attentive during long, detailed procedures is a must. Requirements Active Texas RDA License. CPR/BLS Certification (ACLS preferred but not required). Nitrous Oxide Monitoring certification. A professional, calm demeanor under pressure.
