PRN Dental Assistant - Exquisite Dental Implant Center - Atlanta, GA

Overview We are seeking a dedicated PRN Dental Assistant to join our dental team on Tuesdays and on an as-needed basis. The ideal candidate will support our clinical operations by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring infection control, and maintaining accurate medical documentation. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a dynamic oral surgery environment. Candidates must be proficient with dental software systems and possess strong knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of oral surgery procedures Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained Take X-rays and utilize 3D scanners when required for diagnosis and treatment planning Record vital signs and medical history information accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems. Manage medical documentation, including medical records, in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as updating patient information in EMR systems and assisting with appointment scheduling as needed Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures to ensure efficient patient care Experience Previous experience working in a oral surgery clinic setting is preferred Familiarity with EMR systems such as Open Dental is highly desirable Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols is essential Experience with chairside assisting, x-ray procedures, and medical imaging is a plus Certification or training in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry, aseptic technique, and medical terminology is advantageous Prior work involving general dentistry or specialized fields like prosthodontics or endodontics will be considered favorably This PRN Dental Assistant role provides an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals to contribute to patient care while gaining diverse clinical experience in a professional setting.
