Your expertise will help us provide comprehensive dental services, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, all while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, and pediatric treatments with precision and confidence. Perform chairside assisting tasks such as preparing treatment rooms, handling dental instruments, and managing patient comfort. Take and develop high-quality X-ray images while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment to support accurate diagnoses. Manage medical documentation by updating electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic efficiently and accurately. Monitor vital signs and assess patient health status prior to procedures to ensure safety. Maintain aseptic techniques and strict infection control standards to uphold a safe clinical environment. Support administrative duties like scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist when needed, ensuring smooth patient flow. Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge to effectively communicate treatment plans. Collaborate seamlessly in a four-handed dentistry setup to optimize efficiency and patient experience. Skills Extensive experience with EMR systems such as OpenDental for managing medical records and documentation. Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols within dental clinics. Proficiency in taking X-rays Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and procedures tailored for childrenâs oral health needs. Skilled in chairside assisting with a focus on aseptic technique and anatomy knowledge for various dental specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics. Ability to interpret dental terminology accurately for effective communication with patients and team members. Familiarity with medical coding practices related to dental procedures for accurate recordkeeping. Excellent organizational skills with experience in managing medical documentation and records efficiently. Strong interpersonal skills as a dental receptionist when supporting front desk operations.
