This position is for part time in Columbus, GA- Thursday & Friday, 7:45-5pm. With the possibility of going full time for someone who would like to travel to the other location in Auburn, AL. Job Summary: The Dental Assistant plays a vital role in providing quality, compassionate care to our patients while supporting the doctor in delivering endodontic treatment. This position involves preparing treatment rooms, assisting chairside during procedures, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visits. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, adaptable, and dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety and infection control. Responsibilities: Assist the doctor chairside during examinations and treatment procedures. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment for patient care. Take accurate digital and conventional radiographs Monitor patient comfort and safety before, during, and after treatment. Maintain equipment, inventory, and clinical supplies. Adhere to OSHA, CDC, and all infection control guidelines. Understand and implement cross-contamination prevention protocols. Be CPR and first aid certified and able to take patient vital signs (including blood pressure). Support a positive and professional environment for both patients and team members. Qualifications: Previous dental assisting experience preferred; endodontic experience a plus. CPR and first aid certified (or willing to obtain). Strong knowledge of infection control and OSHA/CDC guidelines. Excellent communication skills with a caring, patient centered approach. Team player who is flexible, dependable, and detail oriented.
