Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support overall oral health education. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and adherence to infection control protocols. The Registered Dental Hygienist will work collaboratively with our dental team to ensure a positive patient experience and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar. Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review. Take and develop medical imaging as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care. Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Document treatment procedures accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain infection control standards using aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures. Monitor patient comfort during procedures and address any concerns promptly. Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans for pediatric and general dentistry patients. Stay current with dental terminology, medical coding, and updates in dental technology to ensure optimal patient care. Experience Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations. Prior experience working in a dental clinic or dental office setting is preferred. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques is advantageous. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation review processes. Experience in chairside assisting, especially within pediatric or general dentistry environments, is a plus. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to oral health and comprehensive patient assessment skills are essential.
