Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Leesburg, VA

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Prior experience with dental software systems and knowledge of various dental specialties is highly valued. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics and Invisalign TX Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques Take dental X-rays, including iTero scans when applicable, ensuring patient safety and comfort Manage patient records using Open Dental Software, ensuring accurate medical documentation and compliance with HIPAA regulations Record vital signs and medical history, updating patient charts accordingly Provide chairside assistance during procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and oral health practices Maintain inventory of dental supplies and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols Qualifications Dental Assistant certification or equivalent experience Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization protocols Ability to follow and adhere to SOPs Strong communication and teamwork skills X-ray certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) What We Offer: Supportive and collaborative work environment Training and coaching for continued growth Opportunity to work with updated equipment and technology Benefits available for full-time employees If youâre passionate about dentistry and want to be part of a team that values quality care and professionalism, weâd love to hear from you.
