Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support the dental team with chairside assisting, and ensure smooth clinic operations. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, infection control, and medical documentation. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental services across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic is preferred. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and a solid knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy to support effective patient care. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA and infection control protocols Record accurate medical and dental histories, vital signs, and treatment notes using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Maintain patient comfort through chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and aseptic technique Educate patients on oral health care instructions post-treatment Manage medical imaging including 3D scanner data as needed for diagnosis or treatment planning Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Ensure infection control standards are maintained throughout the clinic environment Assist with medical documentation and coding for insurance claims and patient records Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is advantageous Knowledge of dental assisting procedures including X-ray techniques, vital signs measurement, and chairside assisting in general dentistry and specialized fields like pediatrics or prosthodontics Familiarity with medical terminology, medical imaging technology, and infection control protocols Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required Certification in dental assisting or relevant coursework is beneficial but not mandatory This position offers an engaging environment where you can develop your skills further while contributing to patient health and satisfaction.
