Stinauer Family Dentistry is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused dental hygienist to join our well-established, family-run practice. Position Details Schedule : 4 days per week Location : Canton office (148 N. 5th Avenue, Canton, IL 61520) Employment Type : Full time Compensation : Competitive hourly rate based on experience About the Role As a Dental Hygienist at Stinauer Family Dentistry, you will play a key role in helping our patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health. You will work closely with our experienced doctors in a collaborative, team-oriented setting that values patient relationships and preventive care. Key Responsibilities Perform thorough dental prophylaxis and scaling procedures Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal evaluations Take digital radiographs and document findings accurately Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and preventive care Apply fluoride treatments and sealants as needed Chart patient conditions, update records, and ensure compliance with all dental practice regulations Assist with chairside duties and maintain a clean, organized treatment area Build trusting relationships with our diverse patient family, from children to seniors Qualifications Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Illinois (required) Current CPR certification Strong clinical skills with a genuine passion for patient-centered care Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Detail-oriented with good time management to maintain efficient appointment flow Experience in a general/family practice preferred but not required—new graduates are encouraged to apply Familiarity with digital radiography and practice management software (e.g., Dentrix) is a plus Why Join Stinauer Family Dentistry?
