Experienced Dental Assistant - Orthodontics Ltd. - Peoria, IL

Our busy two-doctor orthodontic office is looking to add a full-time Orthodontic Assistant to our team! We are a one location, locally owned office that has been serving Peoria’s orthodontic needs since 1980. As a team we treat all patients, parents, and each other with respect and kindness. We strive to provide the highest quality orthodontic and professional care possible and to make our office environment a positive and rewarding experience. Responsibilities: - Assist orthodontists in patient assessment and treatment procedures - Prepare and maintain electronic medical documentation and records - Intraoral scanning through the use of iTero scanners - Communicate effectively with our pediatric and adult orthodontic patients Skills: - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities - Proficient in technology related to electronic treatment charting and iTero intraoral scanning - Willingness to learn new techniques and skills - Knowledge of pediatric orthodontic procedures and techniques Please note that previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or dental assistant is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and grow in this role.
