Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits. Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in Dentrix, complying with HIPAA regulations. Follow strict infection control procedures using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure patient safety. Skills Proficiency with Dentrix preferred. Knowledge of infection control standards, sterilization processes, and aseptic techniques aligned with OSHA guidelines. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, documentation review, and medical records management.
