Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Frankfort, IL

Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe treatment plans Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed Maintain strict infection control and aseptic techniques in accordance with HIPAA regulations and dental best practices Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, including treatment notes and medical coding Experience Prior experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings is preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical terminology Hands-on experience with dental assisting, chairside assisting, and patient care in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices for treating young patients effectively Demonstrated understanding of documentation review, medical coding, and medical records management Certification in infection control standards and aseptic techniques is required Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to improving oral health through compassionate care, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
