The right candidate must deliver only the best care for our patients! Preferred candidate has 2 years hygiene experience. Although hygiene experience is a bonus, we will gladly consider a new graduate to come and learn with us as well! Welcoming someone who can excel at the following responsibilities: ● Present and participates at daily morning huddles. ● Records, documents and reviews patient dental/medical histories. ● Examines mouth, teeth, gums, or related facial structures visually and uses probes to locate periodontal recessed gums and signs of gum disease. ● Exposes and takes digital x-rays, PAN and intra-oral photos. ● Charts conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis of future treatment by the dentist. ● Cleans calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth and beneath margins of gums using dental instruments. ● Performs secondary intra and extra-oral cancer screening. ● Provides clinical services or health education to improve & maintain patients' oral health. ● Maintains dental equipment and sterilizes dental instruments. ● Applies fluoride and/or sealants or other cavity-preventing agents to arrest dental decay. ● Administers anesthetics or sedatives to control pain if licensed. ● Familiar with basic dental assistant protocols and maintains patient recall system. ● Operates diagnostic or therapeutic dental instruments or equipment ● Adheres to all practice safety rules including OSHA Hazard Communication Standards and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards and HIPAA regulations. *Must have Dental Hygiene License* We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our team on Thursdays from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This is a PART TIME position with the opportunity to transition to FULL TIME hours.
