Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our friendly team. In this vital role, you will support our dentists in delivering exceptional care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Duties This position is for Tuesdayâs 7-7, time and a half pay after 5:00 Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for each patient appointment. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray imaging) while adhering to strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Manage patient records accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Conduct vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care. Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques, enhancing efficiency and patient comfort. Support the dental reception team by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient communications. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment, with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; familiarity with medical coding and medical records management is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures.
