Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, invisalign, and some pediatric dentistry with precision and care. Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all infection control protocols are strictly followed using aseptic techniques. Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays), including advanced imaging such as 3D scans, while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Manage patient records efficiently using Dentrix to ensure accurate medical documentation and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support patient care by taking vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and explaining procedures clearly using appropriate dental terminology. Schedule appointments, present treatment plans, and facilitate smooth patient flow throughout the clinic. Practice four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and reduce procedure time while maintaining high standards of infection control and anatomy knowledge. Skills Proficiency in Dentrix for managing medical records and documentation. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dental procedures. Experience with X-ray technology, including digital imaging and 3D scanners for comprehensive diagnostics. Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic setting. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during various treatments in general dentistry, prosthodontics, Invisalign, and pediatric dentistry. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to pediatric patients and their guardians while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
