Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our dental team. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, familiarity with dental terminology, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Dental Assistant will assist in both clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth workflow within the practice. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols. Take dental X-rays while adhering to safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform chairside assisting duties, including suctioning, retracting, and providing comfort to patients during treatments. Collaborate with the dental receptionist for effective patient management and communication. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting. Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and practices including Knowledge of aseptic techniques, infection control protocols, anatomy, and medical terminology. Proficiency in using dental software. Ability to perform documentation accurately and maintain organized records. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages. Certification in CPR or First Aid is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a busy environment.
