Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols Review and update medical records accurately in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout appointments by maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control standards Skills Proficiency in dental software platforms such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and scheduling Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding for accurate record keeping Experience with pediatric dentistry, including working with children in a pediatric dentistry setting Ability to perform patient care tasks including patient assessment, vital signs measurement, and chairside assisting Familiarity with infection control procedures, HIPAA compliance, and sterilization techniques Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and foster patient trust Knowledge of general dentistry practices along with specific expertise in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
