Dental Assistant (Part-Time or Full-Time) General Dentistry Smilewell is seeking a reliable, team-focused Dental Assistant to join our practice. This position is available part-time or full-time and is ideal for someone who values collaboration, efficiency, and delivering excellent patient care. Required Experience Experience assisting in general dentistry, including restorative procedures (fillings, crowns, bridges, implant crowns, and fabrication of temporary crowns) Familiarity with digital dentistry, including digital impressions using iTero Experience with dental radiography, including CBCT Knowledge of prophylaxis procedures Comfortable with chairside assisting, dental instruments, and materials Understanding of sterilization and infection control standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting Key Responsibilities Chairside assistance during dental procedures Preparing and breaking down operatories Taking dental X-rays Maintaining sterilization protocols and operatory cleanliness Tracking inventory for clinical and office supplies Creating and submitting supply orders to ensure consistent availability Assisting with patient flow to keep the schedule running on time Teamwork & Flexibility (Required) Willingness to support the hygiene team as needed, including seating patients, room turnover, perio charting, tray setup, or assisting during hygiene downtime Readiness to help other team members to support overall office efficiency Strong team-first attitude with a positive and professional demeanor Preferred (Not Required) Experience or exposure to root canal procedures, Invisalign (attachments and records), implant surgery, and dental photography Interest in continued learning and professional growth within a modern dental practice Schedule & Employment Type Part-time or full-time opportunities available Monday & Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM Tuesday & Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Friday: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM One Saturday per month anticipated in the near future In-office position Schedule to be determined based on availability and practice needs Benefits (Full-Time Employees) 401(k) Paid holidays Paid time off (PTO) Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $21.54 - $27.32 per hour Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) Paid time off Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: Radiology Certification (Required) Ability to Commute: North Bethesda, MD 20852 (Required) Work Location: In person
