About the Practice: We are a boutique dental practice focused on high-quality dentistry, patient education, and exceptional care. We are in network with many dental insurance plans. We value thoughtful, collaborative treatment over high-volume dentistry. We use Dentrix. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused dental hygienist who enjoys building relationships, supporting diagnosis, and working closely with the doctor as part of a team. Appointment Lengths: New patients: 60 minutes Returning patients: 30 minutes Dental assistants help take X-rays, iTero scans, room turnover, and periodontal charting Responsibilities: -Perform adult prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance -Identify decay, failing restorations, and periodontal concerns to support co-diagnosis -Educate patients on cavities and treatment options (fillings, onlays, crowns, root canals) -Administer local anesthesia via infiltration when needed -Assist the doctor as needed, even outside of hygiene -Maintain excellent clinical documentation and patient care standards Qualifications: -Active New York State Dental Hygiene license -2+ years of clinical experience -Comfortable with diagnosis support, patient education, and local infiltration anesthesia -Team-oriented, professional, and personable Pay: $65.00 per hour Work Location: In person
