Registered Dental Hygienist - MIller Family Dental - Hyannis, MA

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. We are a small private practice with a wonderful team culture. Open to full or part time but must be available at least Monday 8-5 and one other day Tuesday-Thursday. We are closed on Fridays. Compensation based on qualifications and experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to providing high-quality dental hygiene services. This role involves working closely with patients to promote oral health. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction while adhering to all safety and infection control protocols. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care Assist the dentist during examinations Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and record keeping Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and dental coding practices Requirements Valid Dental Hygiene license in the state of MA Experience in a dental office or clinic setting preferred Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation review and medical records management Strong understanding of general dentistry practices and patient care methodologies Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to industry standards Join our team as a Dental Hygienist where you can make a positive impact on patients' lives through exceptional care and support!
