Registered Dental Hygienist PART TIME - Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry, PC - Westerly, RI

About us Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry, PC is a small private, non-corporate General Dental Office. We have been open over 18 years, and we are looking for a part time hygienist. We are open Monday thru Thursday. Mon-Wed 7:45a to 5:30p and Thursday 7:45a-2p. We work just 3 and a half days a week and are open only 191 days per year. What's better than that?! Our work environment includes: Modern office setting Relaxed atmosphere Flexible working hours Responsibilities: - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth - Take and develop dental x-rays and perform other diagnostic tests as needed - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for dental care - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories as needed - Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean dental environment - Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care Skills: - Proficiency in imaging software for capturing and analyzing dental x-rays - Knowledge of dental coding principles to accurately document procedures and services rendered - Strong patient assessment skills to identify oral health issues and develop appropriate treatment plans - Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for designing and fabricating dental restorations - Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices and address their concerns - Understanding of dental office operations, including appointment scheduling, insurance billing, and financial transactions - Thorough knowledge of infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment - Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
