Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Sterilization Technician/Dental Assistant, where your energy and dedication will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency! In this vital role, you will ensure the highest standards of infection control through meticulous sterilization procedures while training to become a chairside dental assistant. No previous experience is required! You will learn how to provide a seamless patient experience in a fast-paced, friendly environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in general dentistry, chart documentation, and dental technology. Experience/Training Points Learn to prepare and sterilize dental instruments using aseptic techniques, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations Learn to assist dentists during various procedures including endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with chairside support Learn to manage patient flow by taking vital signs, recording medical history, and updating medical records accurately in EMR systems such as Curve Hero or Dentrix Learn to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners to capture high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment planning Learn how to maintain a clean, organized sterilization area and dental operatory to uphold safety standards and efficient workflow Ensure proper documentation of medical coding, dental terminology, and clinical notes within electronic health records (Epic or similar systems) Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is welcomed, but not required! Knowledge of dental assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and chairside procedures is highly desirable Familiarity with EMR systems like Curve Hero or Dentrix, along with understanding of HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and records management Ability to learn infection control practices, aseptic technique, and dental terminology necessary for maintaining a safe clinical environment Certification in dental assisting or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference!
